High Intensity Training (HIT) is a bodybuilding system built on one all-out set taken to true muscular failure, followed by full recovery. Unlike high-volume training, HIT proves that efficiency and intensity beat endless hours in the gym.
Mike Mentzer refined Arthur Jones’ principles into his famous Heavy Duty system. I trained directly under Mike’s supervision, learning firsthand that results come from brutal focus, not endless sets.
Now, I teach those same principles to bodybuilders and professionals who want maximum results in minimum time.

I’ve been in the trenches of bodybuilding for over 25 years, and I learned my craft from one of the most precise, no-BS minds in training history — Mike Mentzer.
Training under Mike wasn’t about doing more… it was about doing better. Brutal, laser-focused effort. Perfect form. And knowing exactly when to push and when to recover.

WHAT I DO FOR YOU
I take those same High-Intensity Training principles and adapt them for real people — from competitive bodybuilders to busy professionals who can’t live in the gym. My clients train as little as 1–2 times per week, yet see more strength and muscle growth than they ever did with high-volume “bro splits.”
WHY IT WORKS
YOUR NEXT STEP
If you want results that actually show, without wasting hours in the gym, you’re in the right place. Whether it’s 1-on-1 coaching or diving into my HIT manuals, you’ll get a plan designed to make every rep count.
High Intensity Training (HIT), pioneered by Arthur Jones in the 1970s, is built on short, brutally intense workouts to maximize muscle growth and strength.
Jones, founder of Nautilus, proved you don’t need marathon sessions—just maximum effort, progressive resistance, and enough recovery time. His three core principles:

Mike Mentzer took Jones’ ideas further, refining them into his Heavy Duty system—short, infrequent, high-intensity workouts tailored to each person’s genetics and recovery ability. Mentzer then personally taught me these principles, and they’ve shaped everything I do as a coach and trainer.
Their legacy—and what I learned firsthand—proves that efficiency and intensity beat endless hours in the gym.

Markus Reinhardt is one of the most knowledgeable practitioners of Heavy Duty, high-intensity training in existence. He learned directly from the best - Mike Mentzer. While Mike had hundreds (if not thousands ) of training clients, many lacked the understanding to make optimum progress from the method. They simply wanted Mike to provide them with a workout program, and then they would go away and blindly follow it. They didn’t know the principles of program that were required to make the necessary tweaks and adjustments to continue making progress all the way to the peak of their genetic potential. Markus was different. He wanted answers; to understand all of the whys and wherefores of Mike’s training theory - and beyond that, he wanted to learn Mike’s personal philosophy. He spent considerable time with Mike (even lived with him for a month or so), which resulted in some very in-depth conversations about training and life that most of Mike’s clients never had the opportunity to experience. As a long time friend of Mike’s, I’m pleased that Markus has continued to use the light from Mike’s torch to illuminate the path of progress for others seeking to develop their bodies along with their minds. Markus knows what Heavy Duty high-intensity training is all about because he not only had plenty of workouts under the master’s direct supervision, but because he’s also lived it. He was by Mike’s side during the final presentation of Mike’s Heavy Duty system (If you’ve seen the video, you know how pleased Mike was with Markus’ contributions to the project). Personal training is not an easy business; the good ones have to have the passion for it, the great ones have to have the knowledge. Markus has both. If you value your time and want to get bigger, stronger, faster, Markus Reinhardt is the trainer you want.
